In the bibliographic index on the public display (this example comes from Gonzalès), some agent names aren't rendering correctly. For agents with a last name with an apostrophe in it where the part with the apostrophe is moved to the first name section for sorting purposes, a period is displaying between the letter and apostrophe when it should be after the apostrophe. For example "Hervilly, Ernest d.'" should be "Hervilly, Ernest d'." The "d'" cannot be moved to the last name section because then the last name would sort under "d" instead of "H."

In the bibliographic index, when there are multiple authors there should be a comma separating the names, including the first name listed, even if there are only 2 authors. For example, there should be a comma after Anne-Birgitte in the first example and a comma after Kathleen in the second example: Fonsmark, Anne-Birgitte and Dorthe Vangsgaard Nielsen. It would be great to have manual overwrite for the bibliographic index on the public display so we could adjust edge cases where the default rendering does not fully correctly capture the information. For example, when acknowledging an error in a title we put "[sic]". The "sic" in this should be italicized, but there is no way to make it so right now. Another example would be that it would be nice to be able to use superscript. For example, for the entry "Lacambre, Geneviève. "De quelques dépôts de l'État." In La Jeunesse des musées: Les musées de France au XIXe siècle, edited by Chantal Georgel, pp. 241–46. Paris: Édition de la Réunion des musées nationaux, 1994.", the "e" in "XIXe" should be in superscript.

There are some instances where the order of the bibliography is not what we would want it to be. There are several instances in which this happens (all the below examples are from the Gonzalès PD): Sometimes volumes of a series are out of order: Ex. Heiderich, Ursula and Gerhard Gerkens. Katalog der Gemälde des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts in der Kunsthalle Bremen. Vol. 2, Abbildungen. Bremen: Kunstverein Bremen, 1973 is rendering before Heiderich, Ursula and Gerhard Gerkens. Katalog der Gemälde des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts in der Kunsthalle Bremen. Vol. 1, Text. Bremen: Kunstverein Bremen, 1973. But ideally, vol. 1 would be first in the sequence. Another example of the volumes being out of order is that vol. 2 comes before vol. 1 for Yeldham, Charlotte. Women Artists in Nineteenth-Century France and England. New York: Garland Publishing, 1984. For the 3 Dictionnaire Véron publications by Véron, Théodore (1878, 1880, 1883), because of the two subtitles, and with alphabetical order taking precedence, the book published in 1880 is placed first, and that of 1878 last. We would like it if these were in order of publication date in the bibliographic index. Another instance similar to the previous one but without the title difference issue is that the entry Lancelot. ""Échos de partout."" La Liberté (March 15, 1885), p. 3 comes before Lancelot. ""Échos de partout."" La Liberté (March 31, 1880), p. 3 in the bibliographic index. We would prefer that the earlier article come first in the order

I want to search for "Drouot" or "Sotheby's" and see all the artworks that went to auction

In the Gonzalès PD, for the sketchbooks we wanted to select a representative image from the middle of the sketchbook to use as the preview image. However, when we do this it pulls that image to the front of the viewer and messes up the order of the sketchbook pages. Right now we did a workaround where we just dulpicated the image in the artwork dossier, but it would be nice it the viewer worked the way it does in CAT and takes you to the page you are looking at in the order it is, rather than pulling it to the front

Proposal to include a "tile view option" to preview resources on the Digital Library site. Currently, one can only scroll through a list of resources which make it feel endless.

Proposal to include direct links from CAT Publication resources to its corresponding resource pages on the WPI Digital Library to ease navigation between backend and PD.

Is it possible to make the keyword search more user-friendly? Currently, if you enter a term, the list of pertinent Getty-derived terms appear and then you must check the box to get the results. This can be confusing for a user. A generated list of relevant results without interim steps would be easier.

Currently, you cannot search by translated title in the PD. It would be extremely helpful if you could since, in some instances, the translated title field has the English title of the exhibition which our users are more likely to search by. It would also be helpful to expand the search capabilities of the original title field in the PD. Right now, it seems that only Latin-script alphabet languages will populate search results (and even then there seems to be issues with diacritics), but it would be great if we could expand the search to include languages with other alphabets/characters such as Japanese and Russian. An example of this issue is the Bearden exhibition ブラックアーチスト　ロマー・ベアデン展 / Black Artist: Romare Bearden (exhibition ID 65319). Right now we have the English in the original title field because of this searchability issue, but ideally we would be able to move it to the correct field (the translated title field) without making it undiscoverable using the search feature in the public display.
