In the published CRs as well as in the Bearden preview environment, when you are on the artwork search page and sort by title, artworks with an article at the beginning of their name are sorted into the first letter of the article rather than the first letter of the actual title. For example, Degas' "La coiffure" is sorted under "L" instead of "C" and Bearden's "The Black American in Search of His Identity" is sorted under "T" instead of "B". Chicago Manual of Style dictates that articles should be ignored when sorting titles alphabetically. It would be great if the sorting function was updated to ignore articles when sorting alphabetically.

In the publication notes on the PD, it would be useful to have the ability to include links to external publication sources when the full content is not available on the platform. Providing a proper hyperlink in the PD would allow users to directly access the external publication.

It would be nice if in the exhibition index in our published CRs, if two exhibitions had the same start date they were then sorted by their end date, with the exhibition that closed first being displayed first in the exhibition index. Two examples of this in the Bearden preview environment are as follows: "“Lafayette, Indiana, Department of Creative Arts Gallery, Purdue University, Collage: Beardon [sic], Bultman, Motherwell, Nickle, Roeber, April 1–May 2, 1969” is listed before “Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Cranbrook Galleries, Sixth Biennial National Religious Art Exhibition, April 1–27, 1969” in the exhibition index, but it would be nice if it came after since it closes later. “Boston, Museum of Fine Arts, Afro-American Artists, New York and Boston, May 19–June 23, 1970” is listed before “Philadelphia Museum of Art, Peace Exhibition, May 19–June 21, 1970"

Problem: We supply projects with a high quality data structure but the PD does not utilise this potential to its full extent. Searchability is limited to artworks information. Solution: Visualize available research data to help answer queries and lay out the context and networks between entities.

Following the integration of publications in notes to create footnote style citations ( https://navigatingart.canny.io/feature-requests/p/link-related-publications-to-notes ), this new kind of note rendering should publish to the public display as well. The public note should include the publication rendering and a link to access the publication detail page

Under Indices, there should be a list of all current owners and links to the works they own. The list of owner should be autogenerated from the provenance entries describing the current owner

The current owner or location should be made either bold or larger so that it is distinguishable from the history.

Be able to select and arrange media to tell stories about archival contexts. Present the content in a visually interesting way, i.e. like Google Arts & Culture
