When a researcher opens an exhibition record, they have the option of opening a scanned exhibition catalogue by clicking on the image of the scan. The artworks that are linked to the scan from this record become exhibition references. When you click the title of the publication, underneath the image, you are redirected to the publication record. Several researchers have told me that they inadvertently click the title, and do not realize that they are on a publication record instead of the original exhibition record. This impacts our work because if they link artworks to the scan from the publication record, they create publication references. It would be better for all users if it was clear that clicking the title underneath the scan takes you to a different record. One idea is to clearly spell it out with "Link to publication record" displaying before the title. Additionally, some indication that you are working on an "Exhibition" as opposed to a "Publication" on the document-view of the scan would be useful, as well.
